show info

overview:

the end is a small-scale, live action game with escape-room style challenges. the experience takes place in a tunnel (15m (lenght) x 3.8m (wide) concave x 2.5m highest, 2.1m lowest (tall)) and is is led by one actor who guides players through the various challenges. THIS GAME IS SUITABLE FOR PLAYERS 13+ (when children are accompanied by an adult).

phase 1:

players get a briefing and are told they are the last surviving members of humanity at the last bunker in the uk. each player is given a new identity which assigns each player with strengths and weaknesses they must choose to either reveal or keep secret from their team.

once identiies have been assigned, players are informed that “the darkness” is attacking the bunker and that only half the players may enter. each player needs to make their case to get in: is honesty the best policy, or are some character weaknesses best left hidden?

once the chosen players enter the bunker we have two teams: the “bunker elite” and the “bunker outcasts” - now the war begins!

phase 2:

bunker elite: this team will be playing escape-room style games using AI technology (chatbots) to solve problems with the bunker, secure resources, manage medical emergencies and test their leadership and engineering skills!

Bunker outcasts:this team will also be playing escape-room style games outside of the bunker with the aim to sabotage the bunker elite, and find resources to trade their way into the bunker.

phase 3:

the show climaxes upon the revelation that there is a cure for “the darkness”. the two groups will now need to work together to find it… and live with the consequences.

players face a morality question where they must choose between sacrificing themselves for the cure or sacrificing someone else. THE SHOW ENDS IN ONE TEAM MEMBER ENTERING A COFFIN AND THE REST OF THE group HOST A FUNERAL (THIS IS KEPT LIGHTHEARTED AND DESCRIBED AS A HIGHLIGHT BY PREVIOUS PLAYERS!).

show trigger warnings:

claustrophobia (one audience member will be in a confined space for a period of time), flashing lights, smoke, darkness, infant death, death, disease.
